Twitter is already hugely popular with sports fans. Now they have even more to cheer about.
Twitter users (like @Circa) will be able to live stream National Hockey League and Major League Baseball games, plus a new highlights show called "The Rally."
And it will all be free.
It's not clear when all this will start. The NHL season starts October 12, and the MLB regular season is more than halfway done. Also, The Globe and Mail reports Canada will be excluded from NHL games and Toronto Blue Jays games.
Twitter already snagged rights to live stream Thursday night National Football League games and two National Basketball Association shows (though not games, at least not yet).
Twitter's list of sports partners keeps growing.
Could this mean more Twitter moments like the impressive finish at Wimbledon, which was live streamed this year?
