Floods kill at least 154 across China, leave many missing


At least 78 people have been killed and another 91 are missing in China, officials said Saturday, after torrential rains swept through the country earlier this week.

Most of the fatalities were reported in the northern province of Hebei with 114 people dead and another 111 others were missing, according to the Department of Civil Affairs.

In the Hebei town of Xingtai alone, nine people were killed and 11 unaccounted for.
