We knew Pokemon Go, Nintendo's wildly popular augmented reality mobile game, had been incredibly successful in the first couple of weeks since its release.
And now we know that Pokemon Go crushed Apple App Store records for most downloads in a week ever. TechCrunch reports that even though the game was only available in select countries, it has been downloaded more times in its first week than any other app before.
Trainers in Japan, thank you for being patient. Pokémon GO is now available to download in Japan!— Pokémon GO (@PokemonGoApp) July 22, 2016
The game has slowly rolled out across the globe after a way-better-than-expected U.S. debut.
It's no secret the game has surged past Twitter, Tinder and even Snapchat in users.
We now also know it can boast that at least among U.S. Android users, Pokemon Go trainers spent 75 minutes per day playing, according to Forbes citing 7Park Data.
For the record, that's 40 minutes longer than they spent on Facebook.
