The widely anticipated Air Jordan XXXI finally made its debut. And it's a beauty.
The new sneaker marks a return to the original Air Jordan I, paying homage through its "Banned" colorway and "Wings" logo.
As Bleacher Report puts it:
"Jordan Brand is looking to strike gold with a return to its glory days. The Air Jordan XXXI, without question, is the cleanest-looking signature model dating back at least a decade."
Even its silhouette hearkens back to earlier models.
"Defiance is at the heart of Michael Jordan's success," Nike News said. "The Air Jordan XXXI represents a balance of Jordan Brand's tradition of game-changing performance and its transcendent style."
Nike News did not specify the cost of the shoe, but did say the Air Jordan XXXI will be available at select retail stores worldwide and online on Sept. 3.
