Congressional Black Caucus leader: 'Rogue cops shoot black people for sport'

A board member of the Congressional Black Caucus PAC said in a CNN panel that there are "rogue cops who shoot black people for sport" Friday evening.

Angela Rye, a CNN commentator who is also a board member of the CBC Institute, was challenging St. Louis Police Officer's Association spokesman Jeff Roorda who implied Rye was "attacking law enforcement."

"The blood is not on my hands for telling the truth," Rye said as Roorda called her remarks "offensive.

Rye defended the conduct of Black Lives Matter protest in the wake of a deadly attack in Dallas that killed five police officers, saying the actions of the shooter did not represent the Black Lives Matter movement.

Calls to CNN and the CBC were not returned as of Sunday morning.

Rye further defended her comments on Twitter.
