MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST, INTERNATIONAL
In middle school, Elizabeth designed a now-defunct Harry Potter website.
Elizabeth Hagedorn covers foreign affairs for Circa. In her recent work, she’s reported on hurricane recovery efforts in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and was on the ground in the immediate aftermath of the November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris. Her interest in human rights led her to Iraq where she filed a series of stories on communities rebuilding after ISIS. She was one of the first Western journalists to travel to Teleskuf, Iraq after its liberation from ISIS.
But she hasn’t always been a globetrotter, bringing stories from around the world to people back home. Elizabeth joined Circa from Newsy where she covered politics and ran their bureau in Chicago. Prior to that, she reported on the riveting world of the Missouri State Capitol as a statehouse reporter for KOMU-TV (NBC) and KMOX Radio (CBS).
Like Nelly, provel cheese pizza and the greatest team in the MLB, Elizabeth hails from St. Louis. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri where she holds degrees in political science and journalism. Elizabeth enjoys yoga and is attempting to learn Arabic. She’s also the proud owner of an extremely furry cat named Kitty.
