MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST, SCIENCE, HEALTH & TECH
Daniel is only here because he is half a foot too short to have a pro basketball career.
Daniel is the Multimedia Journalist for Science, Health and Tech at Circa, where he writes, produces, and anchors stories on everything from smartphones to space rockets.
Based in New York City by way of South Florida, Daniel got his start in media through local TV and newspapers, primarily covering local government. His love for politics and history goes back almost as far as his love for gadgets. (The family PC, a beautiful beige Packard Bell, was stationed in his room at age 8.)
He’s been following the consumer tech industry closely since the beginning of the “smart device" era and has most recently taken up equal interest in the burgeoning fields of brain-computer tech and bionic augmentation — the beginning of the “smart human” era.
Daniel is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and The New School for Social Research. He can play a few instruments and is only about 15 years removed from being a champion long-distance runner.
Prior to Circa, Daniel's tech, science and online culture reporting appeared on Yahoo News, ABC News, CBS, Tom’s Guide and Inverse.
