Caroline McKee is Circa’s National Security Producer. A native of Kansas City, MO, Caroline graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.A. in journalism and political science with emphasis in women and gender studies. During her time at TCU (go frogs!), Caroline interned at Al Arabiya Television (D.C. bureau) and studied transnational human trafficking in New Delhi, India. These experiences gave her a deep appreciation for the diverse and historic cultures in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, as well as, a tremendous education in foreign policy.
After graduating from college, Caroline couldn’t get to Washington, D.C. fast enough! She joined the Circa team after working at Javelin, a literary, digital and public relations firm in Old Town Alexandria. Although she enjoyed working in PR, Caroline missed the thrill of chasing stories and breaking news. This sent her back into the crazy world of journalism. She now works with Circa's Sara Carter covering investigative and breaking national security and political stories. Caroline is passionate about raising awareness to end human rights violations through her work and holds fast to the belief that good journalism can change the world.
