CHIEF INVESTIGATIVE PHOTOGRAPHER
Alex once talked down a shirtless man running at him with a machete.
Alex Brauer is the Chief Investigative Photographer for Circa. Someone else wrote this bio because he says he doesn’t do “words.” But Alex has been shooting and editing since he was a teenager. He started out in TV as a volunteer on the studio crew at the PBS station in Bemidji, Minnesota back in the 90’s. It took getting fired from a job there to get him started as a photographer. Sorry again, Bill.
Alex was putting together investigative stories and racking up awards for years before he landed at Circa. He’s got a Peabody, a Dupont, as well as a bunch of Murrows and Emmys with his name on them thanks to work done with the great investigative teams at KLAS in Las Vegas and right down the hall at WJLA in Washington, DC.
He’s got a strange affinity for electronic dance music. And shredded wheat. Seriously? Who eats that by choice?
