Masked protesters outside the Republican National Convention sparked anger as emotions ran high following the murder of three police officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Baton Rouge officials said gunman Gavin Long was wearing all black and a mask that concealed his identity.
At the the first big protest of the week Sunday, a heated argument broke out between Jann Barker, a Baton Rouge native, and a group of protesters wearing masks.
"I take huge offense at your being here in a mask because police lives matter," Barker said. "Take your masks off."
Moments later, Barker told Circa she was feeling particularly emotional following the murder of officers from her hometown.
If you believe in something, stand up for it, and allow your face and your eyes to be seen.
The protesters, who donned Guy Fawkes masks, were in Cleveland to protest the Donald Trump and police brutality, among other things.
Before the altercation with Barker, they told Circa that they had pleasant experiences with officers while in Ohio.
Very cool guys. Our hears to out to them. Bless the Macedonia, Ohio Police Department.
